The pie chart above evidently illustrates various target elements in terms of consumers’ choosing restaurants in a certain city in 2017. There are five parts of this chart, which are characteristics of one restaurant, service, environment, price and other factors. Among them, the proportion of service, environment, price and other factors is 26.8%, 23.8%, 8.4% and 4.7% respectively. By contrast, the factor of focusing on characteristics of the restaurant is in the lead, accounting for 36.3%.
Personally, it is my belief that some reasons could account for such a phenomenon. To begin with, with the fast development of the national economy and personal wealth, people in China have stepped into an era of enjoying life. They are transforming the traditional pattern of living. In the past, Chinese shrugged off top quality of a restaurant but only focused on a lower price because of poverty. But now, with the improvement of living standards, mounting numbers of Chinese citizens have gradually considered excellent quality of a restaurant like the better service and environment as essential factors.
As discussed above, it can be predicted that the trend will continue in the future. And it is also predictable that those restaurants with favorable service: distinctive features and excellent circumstances will be beloved by more customers in some years ahead.
