1. 生词指的是超纲词,例如:poached(2011年text2);或者是熟词生义,例如:talking(2005年 text4);难句指的是需要结合上下文语境推测的,往往脱离字面意思的一些表达。

1. 并列

具体标志:①as well as/not only...but also.../either...or.../in parallel with/neither...nor.../both...and...

②and,or,too,similarly

④指代:this/that+(n.);such +n.

1. 转折

具体标志:but、yet、however、unfortunately、in fact、instead...

2. 让步

具体标志:although、even though/if、despite、in spite of、though、even

3. 对比

具体标志:whereas、while;by contrast; on the contraty

There is one step the TSA could take that would not require remodeling airports or rushing to hire: Enroll more people in the PreCheck program. PreCheck is supposed to be a win-win for travelers and the TSA. Passengers who pass a background check are eligible to use expedited screening lanes. This allows the TSA to focus on travelers who are higher risk, saving time for everyone involved. The TSA wants to enroll 25 million people in PreCheck.

(2017年 text 1)

23. The word “expedited” (Para. 5) is closest in meaning to ______.

[A] quieter

[B] faster

[C] wider

[D] cheaper

“This allows the TSA to focus on travelers who are higher risk, saving time for everyone involved.

(英二2010年 完形)... a sharp rise in cases in Australia, and rising numbers in Britain, Japan, Chile and elsewhere. But the epidemic is “ 4 ” in severity, according to Margaret Chan, the organization's director general, with the overwhelming majority of patients experiencing only mild symptoms and a full recovery...

[A] moderate [B] normal [C] unusual [D] extreme
